One place that a critic could voice an objection would be in my third paragraph. I talk about the HR 40 and how the reparations are not be studied. This is just from the information Coates and what he says the government is doing, but there could be other discussions under the radar about the topic.

-The HR 40 is a bill that was created to study the idea of reparations to Blacks in America today. This bill only talks about “‘…studying [reparations]…we [America] study everything. We study the water, the air. We can’t even study the issue? This bill does not authorise one red cent to anyone’”(Coates pg 15). This bill does not permit any sort of payment to anyone. This bill was created just to study how these reparations could be done and paid off. But the government will not even let this bill go to the house floor. Many readers may disagree and say that there are discussions about this topic. Many political leaders are passionate about the equality of black families and their lives. But, even though there many be discussions about reparations, there is never any publicity about it, which causes it to be put on the back burner. If these discussions are happening between political leaders, they need to publicize the importance, in order for it to one day actually be brought to the House of Representatives. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done even if the HR 40 bill were to be passed, so it needs to be admitted into the house as soon as possible.

This paragraph helps explain my own view because it shows how even if it is being discussed, not talking about it to the public is not helping it be approved by the house.
